Description

Thank you for stopping for a closer look. Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated. I had to make a stop out at the town dump today to get rid of some recycling that has built up over the past month. I saw the fire pit was going strong so wanted to try and get a decent shot of it. I find fire difficult to get a nice clear picture of, a strange combination of light and movement you have no control over. If anyone has any suggestions about settings that work good on a subject like this I would be very happy to hear them. Jim

Nice one Jim, and you did a good job of capturing all the colors and details from the flames

It's hard with fire for it changes all the time and different things burn in different ways. The settings you used seemed to have picked up the colors in the flames really good. :) Great capture!

I think you did a great job what I've done sometinmes is to start stepping down the shutter speed, of course have a tripod later on and take about three shots for setting

When I was a kid back in the early sixties, I set the Las Vegas, Nev. town dump on fire playing with matches. Deja Vu! Nice shot.
