PLEASE ZOOM IN FOR FULL EFFECT
Hi everyone, so sorry that I've been quiet this last week but I'm still rather despondent over the outcome of recent federal elections here in Canada. I will wager that four years hence, you will be hard pressed to find anyone who will admit to supporting the Conservative party. Why must we always learn the hard way? Still, looking at the flooding that is causing so much grief in Manitoba, Quebec and on the Mississippi River, I can not say that I have much to truly complain about. I try to reflect on that and that my loved ones are healthy and safe.
And Now For The Magic
Anyways, I elected (that word again) to do something a little different this time around - as you may have noticed already. This is an animated GIF or at least it should be animated. Essentially, five separate but near identical Poser renderings within one single graphics file. Using a photo editing programme like GIMP (which is free), one creates a series of layers with the five renderings in sequential order. Saving the compiled image as a GIF (as opposed to a JPEG) you are asked if you want to save as an animation - other options include looping forever which I selected here. Reloading the GIF file into GIMP, you can now adjust each layer's attributes which include how long the layer is to be displayed. Save and presto! a simple animated rendering. Of coarse five whole Poser renders in one file is a lot of data. This would require considerable reduction of image size or detail in order to bring the final file in under 512KB. So, in the case of this rendering, only the first frame is totally present. All successive frames contain just the eye area of the girl's face - surrounded by transparency. This greatly reduced the size of the overall GIF file in spite of the rendering size and level of detail. My model is Vany's younger sister from 'Sisters'. Her character morphs and texturing are based upon those of the Vany character by outoftouch. A little Tom Boyish maybe but still enough of a lady to bring her hat and gloves to a rendering. I guess we can thank her older sister for her influence. Ah-hem! More silly characterization. My thanks for everyone who has stopped by to take a look. Enjoy!
Freebies
As always, my sincere thanks to those artists who have provided free props and characters for this rendering: outoftouch for Vany for V3. Inception8 for the Bowler Hat. Moebius87 for the Dystopia City Skydome. DAZ for Victoria 3.

Strangely disturbing, but a very interesting idea. I've begun wonder what the purpose of politicians actually is?

This is quite eerie. The blink caught me a bit by surprise, despite the name of the piece and being told what to expect. Still, it's a pleasant surprise. And as for politics, well, it looks as if things always seem to go on the downward spiral before people wake up and elect better officials than the ones who go ruining everything, but unfortunately, things must be ruined first! Funny how that goes...it's as if humans have this uncontrolable urge to stick their collective hand in the fire and then act all surprised when they get burned. All of that aside, this is a great render and I'm glad that I'm finally starting to slowly, slowly, slowly catch up.

With that title, I started looking for the weeping angels. With all that blinking she is doing, they would get her for sure. I can understand your despondence about the elections. Living in Texas, my vote never counts as for as the federal candidates go. Excellent image and animation!
