Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

This brings back memories when I was running my fishing boat across the harbor. Little did I know that the ships tied their huge rope to one of the mooring buoys. The rope was below the water. Luckily the current and waves moved the ship, pulling the rope out of the water, gave me enough time to see the rope and I made a sudden stop! Whew! A few feet before disaster! #&$(@...That was a close one. Aloha

The first thing I did when I saw the title/thumbnail was giggle! Then I opened the picture and zoomed full size and WOW! What a shot! I love the light and the colors and the little touches of rust! Really well seen! And it looks so warm there! That's never a bad thing! I really like this.

Another title could be 'Rope Chaos' but sometimes it doesn't start that way. Things move and later you have a rat's nest of lines.

A 42 foot trimaran? Now I'm jealous! Like the marine growth and touches of rust. Nice shot.
