Description
Hello all.
Spring has finally arrived.. YAY!
This image is inspired by J.R.R Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. My favourite place in all of Middle earth is the elven realm of Lothlorien with it's glorious golden leaves.
Been working on this for a few weeks, so I apologize if I forgot any credits. Can't always remember everything.

Splendid composition, a real Opus of Art. On my T-Book, your creation is like a small picture, but an excellent mood with an equilibrated composition are surely the factors which made me think immediatly at this big story of the "King of the Ring" I have read from twenty five years in France. EXCELLENT work !

Oh my gosh! This is awesome, majestic, mystical, utterly astoundingly beautiful. In the fall, there is a small bit of the Hollow that turns golden, a tiny bit of Lothlorien right here on earth. You've made this seem so real, photographic practically. I could just spend hours gazing at this ...

Nice work. Love the background. Seriously, or not, I've always had three places in mind to retire if I could: The Shire, Rivendell or Lothlorien.

another piece from that time (in my life), and I remember you saying you may have forgotten some credits & thinking: How in the world do you keep track of things like that, when you wind up transforming everything as you go? 3D is such a different world! I don't know the Lord of the Rings (which makes me something from another planet, I realize), but it doesn't seem to matter for me, because the presence of this beautiful archer is indelible. You have a clarity in her form, posture, and how you render all her details that stands out stunningly. She is so clear & powerful. I don't know if you create the designs on the clothes you use, or morph them from given models, but you've modeled them on the archer with real flow & naturalness; and I think the deep green is perfect, as is her silvery hair (it's like water). Her archer's posture is tensed but relaxed. (Ie, she's at home being who she is.) Your background has great clarity, and the hues are a beautiful contrast to her stark deep greens. Beautiful, Sandy, and fitting that you chose her for your avatar. And while I respect what you say about the difficulty of mastering form, posture, light, etc: As a 2D artist, I see a clear and beautiful vision. (I did read your credits, btw, but god, I have no clue how all that is woven into a finished piece! But the result is all yours & it's beautiful, bold and oh-so gentle. I am with Rita & Ana once more ((anaber)), as well as everyone else...)
