Description

I felt the need to tweak this one further. Upon setting up the full sized prints, framed and signed, I noticed an error in the horse on the left. The tail was brown, while the mane was black. I can't believe I'd missed that ... lol. I also played around a bit more with the color and lighting. I hope this one is a touch better than the last one. Created as a promotional piece for the book 'Aldric & Anneliese', by Harry Gilleland, and 4RV Publishing, for the book trailer. Third, in a series of three pieces. The book trailer can be seen on my blog: http://willowraven-illustration.blogspot.com/2011/05/aldric-anneliese-valiance.html

You have spent a lot of time on the attention to detail...all the poses work perfectly. I love the guy laying against his fallen horse on the right of your work. I guess the bad guys are marauding barbarians!!...lol. Excellent.

Thanks, Kylumi. It seemed every time I thought I was finished, I had to go back in a tweak more ... lol. I still see things I could fix, but I need to declair it 'done' at some point ... lol, huh? And yes, the story is a teitorial conflict between Early Christiian knights and Saxon 'Barbarians'.

I did not notice the brown horse tail but I liked the richer green grass and improved look of the mountains in the background!
