Description

Some more Elvish fantasy stuff :) - The elves are preparing a semiannual ritual in this old and overgrown part of their forest. The place has thousands of years of tradition, and though this gazebo gathering place is relatively new, remains of ancient activity are very much present. It's not far from the watermill complex, but with a different feel to the forest, denser, damp and even junglelike. Hareth Ealandora is apparently discussing something with a visitor, the ceremony master Tawariell, a young-old wood elf magician. Galadhwen and Tegalad, two young wood elves are helping out. Some of the domestic or semidomestic animals are present, a crilliwyn (called a "Nem-Roch" by the elves) of course, and two "Taurë Nogoth Raw" cats, somewhat tame but not house-pets exactly. (As you may have noticed, I'm really having fun with the website http://www.arwen-undomiel.com) Related: "A Peaceful Moment by the Forest Pond" thumb_2197051.jpg &quot"Black Swan Watermill" Elven Village" thumb_2189374.jpg Vue, Poser and Photoshop. Lars continue to use people in his Vue landscapes which is a nice trend and a very good example for everybody! The models are exquisite, very well done - stunningly plants! A beautiful painting. Only a small thing - I would have liked to see a little more of the water in the foreground!

I don't know how you keep your grip on all this elf stuff, without letting it force the images into a pattern. They have great variety and your skill with the tools brings a real life to them. Excellent!

Thanks for your comments so far, really appreciated :) @ vintorix: I tend to agree with the lack of "water view", but I tried several (slightly) different camera angles and focal settings, but this one was the best compromise I could come up with, between losing the foreground vs. the main elements. @ pantalone: Thanks, I certainly hope my work doesn't become too predictable and stereotyped, but I don't think the risk is too big. I need to make something new in all my "personal" pictures - if I already know what to make and how in all aspects, I tend to lose my interest...

This is really a wonderful piece, so many little details. I found myself spending a lot of time just admiring everything, from the lush foliage to the butterflies and little waterfall, not to mention the incredible lighting and characters. Very exciting.

Gorgeous and lush scene. Love all the variations on the vegetation, makes for a real and detailed scene. Love the fantasy, of course, and the characters in the scenes. Each image tells a story.

absolutely great light and foliage. i like the general scene and composition, though it's a bit flat in terms of major lines (no strong diagonals or angles) and leads the eye in an almost straight line across the middle. i really like the bottom of the picture, but there's nothing that leads my eye to it from the action above it. i really like all the details, like the butterflies. and the way the background naturally fades into a fine mist is just perfect. an absolutely beautiful and exceptional scene.
