This picture was shot out the window of our sunroom that looks down at the river. this chubby fellow was in no hurry and just seemed to enjoy resting on the riverbank for a spell. Him and his lady friend have a lodge built about 1/2 kilometer up stream from our place. Not sure why he is exploring down at our place unless he needed some alone time away from his woman and babes. baby beavers are wonderfully cute but hard to get pictures of as the parents are very protective of them and careful about when they are allowed out of the lodge.

He sure did look awesome!! I never saw a beaver up so close before. But I did hear at work that there are alot around here this year for some reason. Maybe washed up by all the flooding waters because their homes have been destroyed. I really like the photos that you took Jim. Great captures.. Love and Hugs..
