Description
This is the huge ant hill my daughter and I saw just out of the woods heading towards the gravel pit on our walk yesterday. Its two feet high and another two and a half feet wide. I can only imagine that is one heck of a Colony down under there...red ants scurrying this way and that, all with work to do! Thank you for the previous clicks, comments, and fav's everyone. Great capture! In the back part of one of the parks I go to there are a lot of really big ones like this, don't step on it! ;) They are really unpleasent when they're mad!

Lol Rose im laughing at the memory the ant hill brings when i was a child i sat on one of those and was smothered in ants my mother freaked so did i lol superb capture !!

That's a heck of an anthill, Rose! Watch out - those little guys carry a really BIG ouch.... Nice capture!

Super capture of the multitextured ant farm and environs, Rosie, plus the neat framework surrounding it. In my case, I would have first photographed it for old time sake, and then gone over it thoroughly with a flamethrower....wearing biteproof hip boots, of course.

An area you make sure you walk around. Don't tread on their property. Think I see one little ant with a machine gun standing post..
