Enthusiastic hobby photographer which didn't get an eye (yet). meaning I make postcard style pictures, so don't expect a lot of creativity or artistic viewing angles. I try show the things as they are (sometimes a little more beautiful)
Follow the "golden rule" and care about technical details, as there are for example: straight horizons, perspectivic and other distortions, noise, sharpness, close to natural color or as I have the color in mind or show the mood.
My motives are a lot: night and available light, natur, landscape, cityscape, architecture, portrait, street, macro and animal life of which is 99,9% wildlife (not a big fan of zoo and animal show pictures). nude/act only very little, as till now not a lot of chances to get many models ( have no $).
I am german, living since over 22 years in Greece. Because of my business I was till now every year for 2 Month in Thailand & Indonesia. That 's why a lot of pictures are from there.
Hope you enjoy my pictures, and I am happy with any kind of critic as i still learning to get better.

Beautiful Shot !!

I like them both for different reasons. There is a stillness to this one that gives it that surreal look. It's a cleaner look because the water covers up all the shoreline debris. And lastly I like the faint outline of the mountains in the background...adds depth. I really like the sky on the other one...the hush before or after a storm...and the foreground rocks add depth to that image. Nice work!

I like both but this one is my favourite!

another great shot

It's an extremely hard choice - each has different qualities. I like this one for it's haunting, lonely feel but the other had a more classical composition that was very attractive as well.

The bottom of the tree in this one gets hidden by the mountains in the background, it ruins the shape of the tree and the tree is the subject.

Yeah, the low tide one is a more classical composition, but this one moves me. To heck with the mountains hiding the bottom of the tree, my eye in this one is caught by a couple small features that scream for attention and become the focus. One is the long exposure you used that blurs the water's motion. That adds the surreality. The other is the white cloud in the light sky. It moves your eye away from the tree. This is not a photo of a tree.

in my limited photographic travels I've yet to come across a submerged tree like this, what a great subject! lovely light too

I like both. I'd like to use them for a background. Is there a possibility to get them in higher resolution?
