I like them both for different reasons. There is a stillness to this one that gives it that surreal look. It's a cleaner look because the water covers up all the shoreline debris. And lastly I like the faint outline of the mountains in the background...adds depth. I really like the sky on the other one...the hush before or after a storm...and the foreground rocks add depth to that image. Nice work!

It's an extremely hard choice - each has different qualities. I like this one for it's haunting, lonely feel but the other had a more classical composition that was very attractive as well.

The bottom of the tree in this one gets hidden by the mountains in the background, it ruins the shape of the tree and the tree is the subject.

Yeah, the low tide one is a more classical composition, but this one moves me. To heck with the mountains hiding the bottom of the tree, my eye in this one is caught by a couple small features that scream for attention and become the focus. One is the long exposure you used that blurs the water's motion. That adds the surreality. The other is the white cloud in the light sky. It moves your eye away from the tree. This is not a photo of a tree.

I like both. I'd like to use them for a background. Is there a possibility to get them in higher resolution?
