Description

A joy to play around with not changing the POV much is 'Dune's Fast Water' file which is super fast ...thanks Ulco. Image render time is just under 4 hours. This is available at the Planetside forum. This does not use the water shader, only the 'Lake' and some power fractals. I tried adding a distant cumulus mass above the terrain; but, the reflection on the water was really bad displaying what appeared to be a salt/pepper effect - very noisy. Added is the distant terrain 'Pleasant Valley' by Markal; 'Hero Rocks' by FrankB (from NWDA); grass patches by Walli (from NWDA); and, the ship 'Golden Hind', from an old acquaintance.

One of the better waterscapes I've seen and the rocks are great. But there's something about that ship that doesn't quite fit. Maybe the shading on it??

Great water and lighting,as well as POV.Is it me,or is the ship sitting too high in the water? A minor crit to a great image!

Very nice rendering. Is there some reason the ship is not deep enough in the water? I have tried Terragen and I know manipulating objects is not easy.

Very nice indeed. The ship is definitely too high in the water.

Just one little tweak of criticism....The Tall Ship needs to be lower in the water as the under hull should be below the water line..Other than that it's an Excellent Scene!...(smiles)...

From the arid deserts to a water-filled scene; lot's of beauty in the simplicity of the elements.

I agree with others, the ship should be lower. Also, the hull color is a bit unnatural, maybe a bit less color saturation. The rest of the scene is positively breathtaking! I'd really love to see this with the ship corrected!

Lower the ship to the water line and it would be perfect. Nicely done.
