Description
Inspired by Donald L. Caldwell's book, "JG 26|Top Guns of the Luftwaffe", this image depicts Me-109s of Jagdgeschwader 26 at a base on the German border, facing Belgium and the Netherlands, waiting at "cockpit readiness" for RAF attacks that never came in 1939.
