Description
Julia and I hit the road last week for Southern Louisiana, and our first stop was a night's stay at the famous Oak Alley Plantation. The Bed & Breakfast sections are in separate cottages, and we had the exterior of the "Big House" completely to ourselves to photograph all night since nobody else came out after 9pm.
It was like slipping back in time. Just the two of us, our cameras, a couple bottles of wine, and a lot of history to absorb and photograph. What a night!
This photo was taken earlier in the evening as a private function at the plantation was wrapping up. Amazingly, only one hour later, the mansion was completely abandoned and was all ours. The exterior, that is.
Thanks for stopping by!
