Description

Here is a carving of Tian Hou - Empress of Heaven. For her more complete story, the history of how she became a Goddess; PLEASE CLICK HERE. There is a full size statue of her there from an earlier post I made on July 29th 2010. I jumped in sequence from #10 to #12 because you had all taken such a keen interest in the screen, So I posted the full view of that first. Thank you all for taking the time to post comments, I enjoy each one of them. Love the contrast of the natural color on the sculpture and the outside of the tree, was that burned or stained or possibly a natural color it looks as though that may have been the crotch of the tree and the sculpture was carved from the inside of the tree. vary nice
