Description

I revised a poem I wrote several years back to fit this image, now I have two versions of this poem. Please don't use my poem without my permission. Watching And Waiting I watch here on the shore Every night for you to come home. I reminisce nightly about our love, Since you have been gone. I’m just feeling so lonely, Here by the sea, waiting for you, I know from reading your letters, That you are missing me too. Your duty to our country, Has taken you so very far away, Even though you had to go, Deep in my heart you forever stay. I stare at that big moon, As it shines through clouds in the sky. While I remember your familiar face, With a little tear in my eyes. I long for your tender touch, As my lips still feel your goodbye kiss. I remember that day you left, With an ache in my heart I can’t dismiss. I’ll stand here every night, Watching and waiting at the seashore.
