Description
The pictures with Janice and Pauline are really illustrations to a story I am writhing and to give a hint of explanation to what is happening I want to present you for the start of the story.
Even though it seems tough, already about 200 pages further things are developing good and I feel sure that there will come a happy ending.
Thanks for comments and for all of you who are viewing my pictures.
River view hotel
Chapter 1
The punishment for cheating
On a Tuesday afternoon, Janice and Paul checked in at the cozy little hotel, the River view hotel. It was lying a little isolated by the river, and it was a place where most of the guests came for a prolonged romantic weekend. Janice and Paul had the same idea, but unlike most others, they had no plans of paying for their board and lodging. Paul had invented the idea of staying at small hotels and leave without paying, it gave a certain thrill knowing that they were cheating while enjoying the service of the hotel. The risk was not that great, because normally the hosts at a hotel called the police, who told them that they should check if the couple was able to pay before letting them stay. The trouble and expense of a court case was not worth the wile for the hotel.
Down at the reception the landlady, Charlene, was waiting for them to checkout. She was a woman in her early forties, quite tall with a dark red hair, dressed in a black dress that made her look sexy and a little wamped. She smiled forthcoming as Paul handed her the visa card and she pulled it through the machine.
- This card is stolen, Charlene said after a moment.
- Oh, is it, Paul answered. - Then don't bother, just keep it, he continued and started walking towards the door with Janice hanging at his arm.
They had almost reached the door, when a tall, slim, but well fit man approached from the little office that they used for their accounts. It was Ben the landlord and he looked angry, clinching his muscular hands around a cane.
- Can we have a talk? Ben said in a both polite and threatening way.
- We were just leaving, Paul said without stopping. - Maybe you can send us a letter.
Janice giggled quietly at his joke, but her face froze in a startled grimace just a second later.
- Ow, Paul said as Ben hit him hard over his leg with the cane.
- Could you delay your departure for a moment?
Paul looked at the door while wondering if they should try to run, a glimpse of the cane which Ben held high in the air made him think different, and then he turned around and limped back to the counter followed by the angry man.
- So are you going to call the police? Paul said a bit scornful, in spite of his sore leg.
- No, no, Ben said smiling. - Out here we manage things ourselves; we take care of our own things, no reason to bother the authorities.
- So you will let us go?
- Yes, as soon as you have paid.
- That will not be so easy, Janice said contemptuous. - We don't have any money.
- This is indeed a problem, the landlady said. - Then you will have to work for your debts.
- We could kill them and give them to the pigs to eat, Ben said.
Janice and Paul looked stunned and frightened at the hosts, were they serious?
- That could be a solution, but we always need maids, the landlady said. - And they seem to have just the right age for a job like that.
- Suit yourself, Ben said looking just a little bit disappointed.
- So what will it be? Charlene said. - The pigs or working as maids?
Paul looked at Ben who was looking brisk back at him, still holding the cane firmly in his hand.
- Well Janice could work as a maid for some time, Paul said after a pause for thoughts.
- You will have to work both of you, Charlene said with a bright smile.
- Well I can't hardly be a maid, Paul said.
- So you go to the pigs? Ben asked seeming a little more cheerful.
Paul got pale and lifted his hands in a defensive manner.
- I can work as a maid too, he hurried.
Charlene smiled.
- Ok kids, then come with me.
