Description

Spotted in our garden, under a leaf of the Campsis radicans. The Latin name of this kind crane fly is: Nephrotoma appendiculata Dutch name: Langpootmug, but no ordinary one. (geen 'normale' soort ;-)) . They also call it in English: Daddy long-lags. The little rain doesn't do much here, all is still very dry. On the heath, fires were yesterday evening. Thanks for viewing and probably commenting. It's very much appreciated ♥

What a marvellous picture of this common creature. You have raised it to the level of a beautiful butterfly or beetle!

nee, dit is zeker geen gewone langpootmug, kleuren, koppie en ogen zijn anders wel een mooie foto !

I hate for one to get into my house with my knowledge.never fails that they will land on your face while sleeping.you wake up beating your face to get rid of the insane tickling.the only good thing is they are very easy to kill one of the best captures I have seen of one
