The Yokosuka MXY-7 Ohka, (櫻� (Shinjitai: ��) "cherry blossom" Hebon-shiki transcription ��ka, ) was a purpose-built, rocket powered human-guided anti-shipping kamikaze attack plane[1] employed by Japan towards the end of World War II. United States sailors gave the aircraft the nickname Baka[2] (Japanese for "fool" or "idiot")

Ingenious and crazy, and a sad waste of young Japanese men, few of whom made it to their targets once the US pilots and AA gunners knew what they were intent upon doing. I've seen few of these planes illustrated so it's nice to see someone bother, plus you've done the lighting really well.

Watched a programme about the Kamikaze only the other night, this was featured.Despite the well documented facts I can't help a little admiration for the belief and commitment of these pilots. Great rendition, love the sense of speed you've imparted.Another great image Glen...
