Description

......Groveling around on the ground trying to get a bug's-eye photo of a mushroom..... Well, I got it..... Just a bit of fun from our recent hike. Also wanted to let my Rendo pals know that I may not be here much over the next few days... Things have become very stressful here in the last couple of days with the elderly, ailing relatives on both sides of the family. Got a call tonight as soon as I got home from work, from my dad's neighbor at the senior apartment where he lives.... He was in a very confused state, and she thought I should rush right over and see what I thought. Well, he seems to be OK - a healthcare worker there seemed to think he's OK - just had a busy day yesterday with an appoinment at the cancer center, and he didn't sleep too well last night. He was also just a bit frustrated that he couldn't find his checkbook, and he had a couple bills to pay. We found his checks, I filled them out for him, and we got his bills in the mail. I stayed and had supper with him and his friends, and that seemed to make him feel better. I'll be keepng an eye on him the next few days, so I may not be around much. I'll try to get caught up on all my e-bots as I can, so I don't miss any of your wonderful art. I'm way behind (again) on commenting, but I'll try to get caught up over the weekend barring anymore 'emergencies.' I hope to get Busted 5: Part 3 done as well, and also work on the latest TNA episode. Thanks so much to all of you for your support! I'll be back as soon as possible! Hugs to you all! Rod

LOL! I've been there MANY times Rod - trying to get that perfect angle of some fungi or flower. One can get into some strange positions in the search for that perfect view, LOL. On a more serious note ... sorry about your family woes, that at least it seems there was no serious problems with your dad. I hope that is the case. Don't worry about commenting on our uploads. Family comes first my friend and we all understand that. Regards and my best to you and Jo buddy!

Nice capture. Sorry about the parent issues. It's really tough. I've been lucky so far with an 84 year old mom who's in great shape in mind and body. Best wishes to you and your family.

A super little capture of this shroom. Sorry to hear that your parents aren't so good, it seems like it is the little things that upset them the most. I'm glad it wasn't anything serious with your Dad. Take care.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, you need to take care of your own, and your own brain. You really need to be carefull getting shots like that, Smurphs have been known to run up pantlegs and cause all kinds of mayhem. Getting nutted by something 3 apples tall is not an experience to share with the fellas over beer! "Mushrooms...they make rooms for stuff like that??" Johnny Hart (BC comic strip)

Getting down to the simple things in life Rod...a good thing to do when real life intrudes on our virtual lives:) Understand about your dad...went through a lot of this with my dad in 2007... One day we'll be where our parents are/have been and be very thankful for the help of our children and spouses. But for now, recalling one of your last posts...Let's par-tay;-)
