Description

This was inspired by a recent image by bigdadgib - a lovely render of moonlight on the sea. That got me playing with a different approach to the sea, using a terrain rather than a plane, using the Valley and Straight Mountain generator. With suitable settings this gave me a nice rolling waves base, to which I applied a custom shader. This looked good so I added a couple of other elements to make a final image. I hope you like - let me know what you think! Phil

This is beautiful, wonderfully inovative on the use of terrains too. One of the best sea renders I've seen!

the whole thing was rendered in Carrara? If it is then I am mistaken as I thought it was a photo...wow, cool water and sky...very realistic. 3d is getting scary now making things look so real lol.
