Nice job! It was a bit noisy in those contraptions!
vkoontz
a slow underpowered lumbering lummox that filled the cabin with choking fumes and unbearable heat from the engine but it was a start and did its job. I've seen one of these at the Aberdeen proving grounds.

Looking great, they definitely had a look of their time, but must have been very unpleasant to actually use.

Very nicely modeled. Looking forward to more renders.

Excellent model and stunning detail, as always...nice subject choice, and first in a series sounds like fun!.A great landmark in military history...bravo sir!
T.Rex
Very well made model, looks like the real thing. There was a steering wheel system at the rear - will you add that as an option? When/where will this be available? :-)

Lets make tracks...!!! Its looking great... Didn't "Indy" have a fist-fight on top of one of these brutes?

Thanks for the comments all. T.Rex: The steering system was dropped in favour of the braked track very early on as it was found that the turning circle it offered was too great. Apart from a side view which only has the wheel size, I don't know how the mechanism worked or was attached, so the probability is it will not be an option. vkoontz and artyphil: Most unpleasant. More injuries were caused by being thrown around inside the tank when going over rough ground as there was no suspension. Only having 6mm armour didn't help either.

And the heat and fumes and getting burnt and the damn noise....and the German one was even worse....but she's a lovely model.

damn the rivets full speed ahead! Great work!

Nice. Curious - why was it called "male"? I wasn't aware tanks had gender like marine vessels
Touchwood
The terms Male and Female came about because it was realised that the mounted machine guns did not give the desired all-round arc of fire, the 6pdr guns were also not accurate when on the move. It was decided that some machines were to be armed with two machine guns permanantly mounted in the sponsons instead of the 6pdrs. (Two turrents with M/C guns in place of the naval guns). To differentiate between the two types, the types with the 6pdr guns were dubbed 'Male' and the Machine gun type was dubbed 'Female'. The Female carried 24,320 rounds of .303 ammo.
