Description

The Philips family and Eindhoven are inseperable, since they brought the first lightbulb factory to the city wich was the reason for extensive growth of the cities industries and number of inhabitants. We are so lucky the family loved nature as well, and from their fortune they left us some parks, the Philips-van Lennep and Philips-de Jong Wandering parks. This shot was made in the latter, wich is full of large fields, where people play soccer, walk their dogs and let their children play, also quite some rodondendrons (is that good english?) and wonderful trees that in the afternoon flock with birds we call 'kauw' in the Netherlands and is a kind of smaller version of the Crow. And of course there's quite a few benches to rest on as you can see in the image... Good day all, Thom

What a wonderful place to walk, to get away from the city and feel as if one has gone to the country. A bit of magic inside the city.
