Description

This sundial is pretty old. It is mounted on the wall of a old church here in my neighborhood. Thanks for looking.

I've seen similar sundials in small Czech towns. They're always distinct and always gorgeous. I love the colors in this, the earth tones, the rich reds and the wonderful sense of history. This is marvelous!

These old sundials give always a very nice insight in former life. I can very good imagine a farmers wife standing in front or a nobelman with sword etc, Great capture, Klaus! Heidelberg has so many extraordinary to discover.

Splendid lighting, patterns and textures in this excellent capture, Klaus! I've always been under the impression that sundials were always set in a horizontal position. Never saw one vertical before. What happens when the sun moves behind or to the side of the church?
