Description

My mom says this is really dark on her computer but it's fine on mine. I apologize if you have trouble seeing it! Anyway, I was inspired by Star Trek: TNG, which I just now finished watching (a little behind the times but still...) I really appreciated Data's search and desire to be human and I wanted to do something that spoke to that idea. Enjoy!

Great scene and work! Your mom has partly right, I think! I you make your image brighter first and then more contrast you can get some more depth in your scene, so a fine render could be even better! Just my opinion! :o) Rhanagaz

Wonderful image! It was a bit dark, until I viewed in full size, then it was excellent. I love the lighting and atmosphere.

Wow! Beautiful idea and so wonderfully executed. I love the materials in this one. And great storytelling. It also looks fine on my computer, but different computers are calibrated differently. Try printing it (even on a regular, or even a BW printer) and see whether it looks as you intended, if not, I found that Gamma correction in PS works well to correct too much darkness. Is the image she's looking at also yours?

Thanks for the suggestions, Antaran and Rhanagaz! I think it'll print fine with a little correction at the printer, as usual. But if it doesn't I'll do a little editing. Antaran - the image she's looking at isn't mine. I thought about doing that, but since I already had a picture prop that fit the Victorian-look, I decided to do that instead of recreating the wheel :-) I really, really like this piece. I keep looking at it. lol
