Description

A sequel to my last image..."Hide and Seek", so where was Mark hiding, he went to hide in the very back under the trees...Mostly here I have been doing is studying grasses.. I am frustrated, it seems like when I make complex scenes of grasses and trees in Vue, it increases the file size, there fore I had to play around with the image to find ways to reduce to their file size limit of 512 kb, in which I had to reduce the quality to almost 50 per cent!!!!!!

It came out lovely! It's tough to balance resources with scene choices, but you have to, either that or throw all the RAM you can afford at it! Or end up doing multiple renders and compositing them in Photoshop.

Awesome job! I used to have RAM problems with my pictures to, then I tried to uncheck the "smooth mesh" box in the edit object menu for all imported objects that didn't need much more details. It worked very well, but I must admit that my scenes contained lots of imported mesh...

Phillip, your scenes are so realistic I feel I can literally walk into and through them. I love how Mark is semi-concealed in the cool shadows and bushes. This is just superb!

Only 50? I had to reduce the color version of "Chief of the Oneida" to 33% and the sepia version only a little better. :( This turned out beautiful anyway, you can barely notice the quality reduction. I love how everything in the scene seems to interact with each other. Especially the boy and the grass. Brilliant work. :)

The more fine details you put in your image, the larger the file size gets, and your image has lots of fine details! It's a problem with the jpg-algorithm which usually works best on blurry images and large areas of the same color. Your image looks very good, though, great work with the vegetation!

Yes, this is a problem, 512 kb. I must reduce the size, render all my works with 300 dpi. Your scene is so wonderful, absolutely realistic! Perfect the light and shadows.

Looks great and a cute scene! The realism of the figure is not quite up there with the grass and the trees IMHO but this does not detract - great image!
