Description

This was taken over the English Channel. From my airplane window I could only see flickering reflections which called my attention. I eventually was able to see the dim figures of the windmills which I photographed. Initially there was nothing much on the images, but after considerable work done on Photoshop I was able to bring the shapes into better view. I was amazed by how many there were and how they appeared to be in the middle of nowhere. Hope you like it and always thanks for your comments!

Owned and operated by the Swedish energy giant Vattenfall, the Thanet Offshore Wind Farm has 100 turbines and covers an area of 35 square kilometers. It's the world's largest offshore wind farm, and sits about 15 km's off England's southeast coast. Very interesting post.

it amazes me that in one of the busiest shipping lanes in the world that there is room for so many turbines as this.
