Description

This shot came from a photo shoot. I never used any of the photos because the lighting was too harsh and bright and the model was surly and awkward. It wasn't until I converted the image to sepia, where you could no longer see the make-up and the garish red and black dress, that I realized THIS IS A CHILD! She was uncomfortable being photographed by at least 200 photographers all pointing giant cameras at her. I doubt if she's any older than 12 to 14 and she probably never did this before. Monotone seems to be able to get to the essence of a portrait much better than color in many cases.

I agree that sometimes it is better not to use colors. With the Monotone this picture is perfect, full of atmosphere. Congratulations.

I agree Joanna some images that I've thrown out i know I could have done something with them in B&W. This looks good and I feel sorry for her, with all the attention. Well converted my friend.
