Description

I was going through a bunch of photos from last summer's trip to Tampa, Florida, looking for a sky-cloud background for the Busted part 3 project. When I brought this photo up, I noticed something strange. In the upper right portion of the photo is.....something. What caught my attention is the fact that it appears to be lighted at the same angle as the clouds. This photo was taken as we drove along the causeway from the St. Petersburg area towards the Tampa airport. I was shooting some photos of the clouds for use as backgrounds. I do not recall seeing anything in the sky other than clouds at that time. I enlarged the photo to 200% in Photoshop - see inset - and whatever it is *seems* to have a discernable shape. Very odd... This is NOT a manipulation in any way. ....................... I'm working on Busted 5: Journey to Spackoine, Part 3 - hope to have it done this weekend, assuming I'm not abducted by aliens... Hope everyone is having a safe and relaxing Memorial Day weekend! As always, thanks for all your support and encouragement - you all are great!

telephone poles in the water gets me everytime. I once saw a similar object in the sky...it was coming down fast and hard...only problem it was headed straight towards me. Unfortunately I was stuck in traffic at the time. It ended up hitting the top of my windshield effectively cracking it from top to bottom. Had it come down harder and faster, and a little more to it's left, my head would not be here today. Funny thing is...I was very near Nellis AFB when that happened. Just to give you an idea of what it was not....there was NO BLOOD anywhere on my vehicle....

Very fine capture! I look a bit weird but it seems to be a cloud like the others. Clouds can have the most strange appearance. I have looked many photo shots with UFO's (only meaning "Unidentified Flying Object" and actually not "flying saucer") - but as an amateur astronomer myself, none have proved to me that it have an extraterrestrial origin! Sometimes media reflect very uncritical in such cases. An example: A TV Station showed an "UFO" in the news and it was clearly a droplet on a cars window if you just looked a little bit carefully in the start of the video capture. But anyway - a great shot of this phenomenon, probably a little bit of cloud vapor! ;o) PS. But I would love to see and meet Mr. Gray! :o)

That's a cloud, I'm certain of it, it has the same color and density as the rest of the clouds, but it IS a really, really weird one. I think you caught yourself a rare one there.
