My real name is Markus. I live in Germany in a little town between Chemnitz an Plauen - i don't think somebody knows ;-).
Last year I buy me a Nikon D40 and now I be able to take much more pictures as before. The macros I shared are all freehand-shots.

Aw, I thought you had discovered a living trilobite. Look a bit the same, but different in size. Good job with the photo. This fellow must have been busy eating, or resting. Nice depth of field in the photo. Keep up the good work! :-)

WOW! I saw your second shot before seeing this one! Both are amazing shots of a gorgeous specimen. I love the "M" shaped antennas; over here, we tend to call these "sowbugs" even though they ARE woodlice. This one has beautiful segments and nice "running boards" on either side. This is super. It's very wet in Chicago now, so we will have plenty of these over the summer. I hope to capture a few pregnant ones!
