Description

I don't drink often but when in Rome and all that. Its now 3 years and 8 weeks since my kidney transplant and enjoying my freedom to travel. "Dum vita est spes est" Ingredients 10 fresh mint leaves 1/2 lime, cut into 4 wedges 2 tablespoons white sugar, or to taste 1 cup ice cubes 1 1/2 fluid ounces white rum 1/2 cup club soda Directions 1.Place mint leaves and 1 lime wedge into a sturdy glass. Use a muddler to crush the mint and lime to release the mint oils and lime juice. Add 2 more lime wedges and the sugar, and muddle again to release the lime juice. Do not strain the mixture. Fill the glass almost to the top with ice. Pour the rum over the ice, and fill the glass with carbonated water. Stir, taste, and add more sugar if desired. Garnish with the remaining lime wedge. You look WONDERFUL, Susan! And you are so right, a good motto. I do hope you are feeling as well as you look, I know a good (real)tan can conceal a lot. The drink sounds lovely!

Wonderful image! It's nice to see the photographer behind the photographs! You know, there's a bar in Prague (called T-Rest) that serves drinks in a bucket. Well, it's actually a bucket with a glass lining, and Mojitos are the most popular drink there. I've learned (the hard way) that you can never drink too big a Mojito, unless, of course, you attempt such a thing on an empty stomach. And having said that, I'll say that I adore this photo. It's so warm and I can tell that it was a fun day.
