Description

Thank you for stopping for a closer look. Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated. The robin that kept rebuilding her nest that I posted a little over a week ago has now made good use of it. Its choice to build its nest right on the electric meter beside the garage door is probably not a great choice. Everytime i head towards the garage the bird has to fly away and that means the eggs are not being sat on. I hope the babies are able to hatch with the mother leaving them so often. Awesome capture Jim. The mama bird sure is protective and leaves as soon as she hears a little noise. Needless to say we know what she is leaving behind!! Thanks for sharing these precious eggs. They are so pretty!!

Wow! This is cool. I sure am glad I did not miss this. Now we have a perfect gauge for the origin of the term 'Robin's egg blue'. Eggs are marvelous structures, aren't they? Just an idle thought but it may be possible that the meter box generates enough heat to compensate in the incubation process. Please keep us posted, jim, I fear I am getting attached.
