Hello there, folks,
In my last post, I spoke of presenting more sophisticated flame renderings using a merger between flame and conventional fractals. Today’s offering is an example of such a merger. The principal difficulty I have in working with flame fractals is that there is such a wealth of beautiful options that I suffer from an embarrassment of riches. I am not complaining you understand, just making an observation. I hope you like this one. The title of this piece refers more to the mythological character of the term, than a species of tree.

Awesome image Stan!!! This is stretching UF into an area I had no idea it was capable of. I'm not sure if you are so inclined, but if you ever decided to offer classes in UF techniques I'm sure there are several people that would love to learn under your direction. I'm not sure how such a program can be done online, but maybe its possible.

Beautifully done! Now I'm just wondering about the mythology aspect... Rowan is a mythological tree, yes? But there is also a species of trees that's called Rowan?

A wonderful work of art that has been very cleverly created. It has a magical feel to it. I agree with greyone that it would be great if you did a tutorial on making Apo in Ultra Fractal but I know that is very time consuming.

Beautiful fractal. I see it as displaying the mystical energy underlying the Rowan tree and its numerous association to divinity and magic. Superb mastery of the fractals, as always (which is why I placed a link to your gallery on my last post, BTW).
