This is my first "realistic" render. I haven't had much time to sit down and create something. This took me like 2 hours to create and 15 minutes to render on a G4 Dual 800. I really want to get my timings down so I don't feel like it takes a whole afternoon to create something! Any comments would be much appreciated! Thanks...

took like 2 hours. i am still learning the best ways to create shapes (i.e. splines or hypernurbs) and I am still very much learning texturing. One of these days! I really want that tabletop to be better.....hmmm....I'll continue to work

Really like this work but - even if you are going the fast way, don't make beginner mistakes. the shape of this clock does not have enough tiles to really apear like - hmm- how to call - round? Also i think your .hdr reflection map is not well chosen. Maybe see debevec.org for some better maps. I would choose somekind of indoor map. BTW finished that tut on my site. P..:

I agree about the .hdr reflection. That was just an image I pulled that would help me see what it would look like with some reflection. Your tutorial really helped! I made a wicked looking bike that I am going to post soon! It is a lot easier then I thought to make cool looking things! Thanks prayas!
