The mare bowed her head To where her newborn foal lay And neighed so softly As if to say I will help you To stand To walk To run To play I promise I will not go away Until you are big and strong Like me, someday. Nice subtle use of your painting technique, as they say, less is best. Your "Mother's Way" poem is a perfect match for Ilona's photo, but that little Foal looks like he is giving us the Raspberry...LOL ! Very kool and tender work Carol ! ~Cheers~

Aww! I am such a sucker for foals. I have to stop and look at all the new babies in my neighborhood when I run to the store etc:) I really like the subtle way you handled the brush work in this one- works very well! And LOL- yep that kid is giving mom the raspberry! Typical kid:)
