Description

A group of friends and I rented a cottage for a week in the lower part of Maine and got up each morning and picked a direction: North-South-East-or West and went exploring. We came upon this little nature tidal area with a boardwalk that went forever that was just stunning...and at the right time of day. Zoom in to appreciate. I don't know the name of the place but I can find out if you are interested Geoff. Two places I would recommend without reservation are Acadia National Park on the coast and Moosehead Lake area in the interior.

This is incredible. Maine is one of those places I've not visited yet, but I miss it. Actually I grew close to someone from Maine, while we were both living in Prague. She returned, I stayed in Prague for a couple of years, and now that I'm back Stateside, I have yet to get to Maine. This image actually reminds me of the state (only without Stephen King ambling around in the background, lugging a manual typewriter around with him, but oh well.) This is an absolutely gorgeous shot and I love the expansiveness of it. You've captured both the splendor and the drama of the environment. This is marvelous.
