As Bruce Springsteen used to sing, I was (sing out loud) "born in Châlons sur Marne" .
Where is Châlons sur Marne? Nowhere anymore. You'll find this town by looking for Châlons en Champagne. This may sound better to locate me. I still live in this area, but fifty kilometers away, in a small village. And as for the champagne I harvested many times and I must admit that I was not efficiant enough: I drank almost as much as I picked. :-o
I am a state employee but I am also a 28mm-miniature painter and I have been practicing with DAZÂ Studio for about two years. In fact I am a colorist. I can't draw. And I am also turning into a pose maker which I can't do with miniatures.
My member name comes from a name that came to my mind when I first saw the image of a fairy sat on a book by Neyjour. I invented myself a story for this fairy. She was in charge with a human baby and that baby grew up. I used to have a gallery under that baby's name, but now I am beginning a new one. You might see nudity in my gallery. You should know that I own my wife's approval to render and show you such pictures. As long as our two young children can't see any pornography.
(I hope my English is not too bad. I usually write in French when I'm commenting your images)

Adorable image my friend, gorgeous lighting!

Yeay, it is dressed for a change. o/ Could use some work tough. - Texture of wood front left horizontal bar where the keyboard rests on, misses bump, is too big and could be without the specular. - Left arm goes through pants. - Left armpit has bad wrinkle (tiny black dot/stripe) - Left arm (bit right arm too) weird wobbling of the sweater. - Poster on the wall could use a little bit of thickness. - Lighting is a mixed bag of soft shadow with extremely hard shadows. Try maybe using GI instead?

very nice...

Would you forgive me, please? This is not Cinema4D but Daz Studio made. So good lighting is beyond my skill. In this case lighting has three main sources, but none of them is showed on this image. A desk lamp brings a spotlight towards the keyboard, with raytraced shadows. A ceiling lamp above the lady brings another spotlight toward her head, slightly from behind. And last I've supposed there a large window facing the desk (just as pgmeri01's "Boutique/Shop by 3-D-C" suggests). In Daz I could have used some surface lighting, but in this case shadows would be replaced by many black dots. So I have used an other spotlight but with standard shadows. Daz lighting won't fade with the distance, so if I want to fade some shadows, I have to use that trick and to use a main distant light with no shadows. Maybe two or three would be better? As for bad poses in clothing I use Daz studio on an iMac, so dynamic stuff are unaviable for me. If my characters use a pose far beyond the stand pose, clothes are like plancks on them. So I can't avoid some bad poking through and strong folds. But Daz is good enough for a free program.

Very Lovely girl / pose and nice office details. Some of the issues you find with clothes fitting in DAZ could be easily patched after rendering in a program like photoshop (eg using clone tool to carefully adjust sleeve, armpit and jeans cut-through to look more natural.) Also you can adjust the lighting levels somewhat in a program like photoshop (eg play with highlight/ shadow levels and contrast etc) to improve the "depth" in the scene fairly eaily. Some minor tweeks may really make noted improvement if you are not entirely happy with the DAZ renders/lighting you have achieved. Lighting is a complex and tricking but very important subject, and most of us are still learning how to get the very best results in DAZ Studio with our scenes. Meanwhile Some postwork can help until we become True Lightmaster!

Kinchie's right - I use Photoshop to tidy up flaws in the rendered image. Don't know about Daz but I'm still learning how to manage the lights in Poser ... She's a good-looking character, great expression and pose!
