What utter enchantment, Monica! I would imagine our intrepid spelunker is on the brink of developing a severe case of stalagmite envy. I love the way you have, with extreme subtlety, made the lantern the central focus of the piece from which every element of the image orbits. The striations of glass forming a pattern on the skin is perfect as is the rich green palette. But what steals my heart is that incredible background. What creativity is in evidence here. It is mysterious, otherworldly, fanciful, and imaginative. I have explored many caves in my life and I would dearly love to to see what other wonders lie in this one. Brava! (And as a brief aside, thank you my dear Watson.)

The snake,the crow and the cave are awesome.The spirits in the trees are very alive and appear to be watching the lady with the lamp. The green tones are outstanding. Excellent image and birthday dedication Monica.
