Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Seems like since spring set in I have been EXTREMELY busy with real life stuff.
I am SOOOOOOOO behind on comments but will now set about getting caught up.
Having just had a SHORT one week vacation, from which I just returned, I FINALLY had some time to play in Poser Land.
About this image:
Been reading the Terry Goodkind Legend of the Seeker series and I wanted to do a render of a Mord Sith or two.
The red leather tools these women have attached to the gold chains are a Mord Sith's best and probably ONLY friend. They are called agiels. They give intense pain to anyone it touches, even the wielder. The lack of expression of pain on the face of the Mord Sith to the left, who is holding her agiel is testament to the fact that Mord Sith are VERY used to the pain through years of the agiel having been used on her from childhood on through her whole life.
The agiels seen here were created by me. MY FIRST multi-part prop I have EVER done!! I modeled them after the agiels seen in the Legend of the Seeker TV series.
The textures were some I had in my library that I had to re-work so they would look like red leather.

The Mord-Sith are an elite group of women warriors originating from D'Hara. They were created to defend the master of D'Hara, Lord Rahl, from creatures or people with magic and its not their place to question the Lord Rahl. A Mord-Sith has the unique ability to capture others' magic and use it against them.

The set I used here IS by DM but it is NOT Chronicles. I couldn't pick the actual set I used - the Anardhaus set - because it is at DAZ3D not here.

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG, Buddy! This definitely has me seeing red! Looking that good, they can hurt me all they want! Absolutely SUPERB work, Mike! The Mord-Sith ladies are incredible, the environment is perfect, and your lighthing work is phenominal! Top marks on this one, buddy! You're ahead of me in creating props - I've done a couple simple things, and have a couple more in the works I'm trying to put together with Bryce when I have time - which isn't much anymore. I'm looking into a new Wacom for my most recent computer, as well as a couple more 3D apps... Blacksmith 3D and Silo.... we'll see.. This stuff has definitely gotten into my blood. Good to see you back, Buddy! Of course, now, I'm gonna have to go check out this Seeker series....
