Description

Not much colour but Mies and Lucinda asked to see the flowers behind yesterdays upload. The flowers are over and here you see the seed heads of the Allium (Liliaceae) which is a member of the onion family. Julie loves them and I hope you all like them too.

I looked them up and I think I took pictures of them in New York. On my last night there, Leslie and I walked along Battery Park at night after eating supper. I saw these purple balls and pointed my camera and took a flash image. I wish I was there to see them with the seed heads. They are beautiful in this stage too. I love the way they radiate out, going from green to purple to seed heads. Beautiful detail and color. Thanks Jeff! I like them a lot.

OH Yes, I do so like them. I find onion flowers very beautiful and I have onions in my garden just because of the flowers :-) Gorgeous capture. I think ill try to plant a red onion :)))
