BIO
For around 20 years I was a professional wedding and portrait photographer winning a couple of Kodak awards but turned to landscapes about a year ago in 2005.In my wedding days I shot on a Bronica 6 x 6 format but my camera now is a Nikon D100 and I feel that digital and Photoshop opened a whole mew world to us guy's and gals. I am based in the UK moving from the south to lancashire at the end of 2005.
So its now 2009..long time since I updated my bio.
Now shoot on a Nikon D200 and process my work through Photoshop CS3.
Been to a lot of places since moving north.Three times to Scotland..going again in September 2009.
Had a week in Snowdonia..brilliant place....cant say the same for the weather we had.Ventured down to Devon...been for a week in Northumbria..had a glorious week on the North Yorkshire coast.Walked miles around the lake district in Cumbria.
Been to west Yorkshire no end of times and that's just the places I can recall.
Tried and tried to improve my photography which if any one looks thru my gallery back to the early days may agree that it has come a long way.
So many places still to see in the UK.We must have some of the loveliest places on earth to photograph here..there will never be enough time.Â

A wonderful capture, we still hang washing out in the garden in North Yorkshire. Splendid work. Hugs. Di. xx

The only reason I don't still hang it out is that I do washing for all 4 of my lodgers!

Well done! You've turned a mundane chore into a piece of art.

My mom always hung her clothes on a line, but it is delightful to see the lines strung between buildings like this. Wonderful photo!

An interesting slice of life. I've seen the same thing in Hebden Bridge, just a couple of miles away.

i agree that this is more than an aesthetic piece. it tells a story and shows a bit of culture that brings to mind certain places and even certain times.
