Description

MONTREAL BIG WHEEL LA RONDE (Six Flags) La Ronde was opened in 1967 as a part of the Expo 67 World's Fair. The park opens from mid-May to late October, with peak admissions being in July. As of summer 2010, entrance costs $38.98 CAN for people measuring 1.37 m (54 in) or more and $25.50 CAN for people under 1.37 m (54 in). Family rides require a height of 36 in (0.91 m), most intermediate rides require 44 in (1.12 m)) and high-thrill rides require 52 or 54 inches (1.32 or 1.37 m). Today, the park features 42 rides, including ten roller coasters; among them is Le Monstre, a 40-metre (131 ft) high wooden double-tracked roller coaster (80 mph) which currently holds the record for highest double-tracked roller coaster in the world. The Big wheel have 50 gondola up to 300 people on each ride with marvelous view of Montreal and More. Thanks Magik

Wonderful capture! We lived in Montreal until 1966, then went west. I'm sure I would have a hard time recognizing areas we used to live back then.

I recall Expo 67! A big deal for Montreal. How-ever I would not attend the park then nor now. I am afraid of heights and the smell of a fairground has my stomach upset immediately. Ferris Wheels and Roller Coasters are for thrill seekers not me. Outstanding capture Magik. Zoom is awesome to catch more of the details as you mentioned. Great job. Thanks for sharing this.

Hiii This reminds me a bit to my daughter Jessica she jumped in Sunday buggi lol 150 feet away and has the video HIIII But the wheel is slower Bravo still beautiful and good decision ((5 + +)) Hiii Cela me fait penser un peu à ma fille Jessica elle a fait un saut en buggi Dimanche lol 150 pieds et elle a emporter le video Hiiiii Mais la roue c'est moin vite Bravo encore belle et bonne prise ((5++))
