Description

This formation is in the Arches National Park of Utah, USA. There are over 2000 catalogued arch formations in this park which were formed by water, ice, extreme temperatures and underground salt movement plus 100 million years of erosion. Old arches are falling and new ones are forming in the ongoing process. The stone is sandstone. American Indians used this area for thousands of years. The spectacles formation (and the name is obvious) has a North window and a South.
