Description


described by Dylan Thomas as the loveliest village in England. It was a major Pilchard port untill nearby Newlyn developed in the 19th century. Dolly pentreath a Mousehole fish wife who died in1777 was thought to be the last woman to speak Cornish as her native tongue, a plaque marks the site of her cottage

Lovely image with wonderful POV, depth, color, and light! I love the boat in the foreground, and the curve of the walls and shore. I like the way the ropes tethering the boats make lines across the ground. Beautiful capture!
