Description
Oh I've got tons of picture I want to show...lol But first off, I thought it appropriate to post a Welcome to Stamford sign. I've got tons of flowers, old buildings, beautiful Churches, lots of odds and end pictures I took mostly just to remember this trip by. I will try to pick some that you folks would be interested in seeing to put up as I can. Were off to Peterborough, York, London, and such over the next few days while I'm still here...I was taken to my first Pub last night in this totally OLD building...what a beautiful place this is! I miss my kids, but really am enjoying myself and meeting some real nice people! Thank you for the clicks, comments, and favorites on "My Plane for 2121".

Very lovely welcome sign Rose glad to hear you are having a lovely time. Guess that country is full of "old" stuff considering the history of the UK. Have a super time there my friend!

Glad to hear you were able to go on your trip despite the sudden child sitter problem, and others. Yes, England (and Europe) has a LOT of old history we don't have in the US, Canada or other English language countries. One just can't drink it all in. Enjoy as much as you can, take TONS of photos, but DON'T forget to note what they are of! I once was at a slide show by a couple who had made one of those "see 20 cities in 10 days" tours back in the 1960s. The kept asking "Does anyone recognize this? We forgot to note what the photo represents!" Kind of embarrassing. But, they sure had loved their trip! Keep up the good work! :-)

Stellar pic of the greeting sign, Rosie! OMG, great to read that you got out and about to enjoy the local atmosphere and gentry and take photos on your trip to the Isles. And you even visited a pub where you downed pint after pint of ale and played darts. I'm adding Hyde Park, The House of Commons and Westminster Abbey to your itinerary when you go to London.

I lived near Peterborough when I was stationed in England. I remember walking into the cathedral when the organist was practicing and the music was so beautiful as it bounced off all those stone columns. I look forward to seeing your images. Have a wonderful time!
