Description

If ever a geological formation could be considered a "star", Vasquez Rocks National Area Park would be it. Formed from the grinding of the San Andreas Fault, this unusual rock formation is well known as it has been used in countless advertising and TV shows. My favorite use of the location? The original Star Trek episode where Captain Kirk is forced to fight the reptilian Gorn.
