Description
I took some photos of this dock so it is real i did not noted a book on the dock intill a week later as I was looking at my photos again. I painted this and wrote on the book "Bible".
the place looks so lonely here and it is a mess as the storms came thought and destroy a lot of stuff. the power poles is as is in the photo and been like that for a long time.
The same with life to me. As the storms of life come and go we too are hurt and destroy for that is what satan like to do; the Bible saw that what he do also. To me the only hope is in the Bible.
Think about it a little that all world religious try to do things and reach up to get hold of God and get saved; while Christian say that God reach down to us to bring us up to Him to get saved. That what the Bible say too.
So if you miss church today this is your sermon for today.
I painted this on canvas with acrylics.

Jock, this is a wonderful work of art my friend and when combined with your thoughts it is very moving. You've taken this sad setting and used it to remind us about God, the Bible and what is most important in life.

Oooh, I like this. I know it's acrylic on canvas, because you said so, but it also "feels" a little bit like watercolor on paper; I think it's because your colors and the light make it seem so open and I love the POV and the details you've brushed in. Really marvelous. As you can see, I have to catch up, but this is a good place to start. This is fantastic. Really well done!
