All of my uploaded titles are taken from a writer friend of mine, and Id like to thank Mara for letting me use her beautiful writing to compliment my work. I am very interested in the other artists on this page and I urge you to take a look at my favorite images and artists :-)
Â
I always read every comment made in my gallary and I am very active in commenting and viewing the new uploads in the photography gallary, and I hope you do as well! I am a coordinator of the Photography gallary, and love seeing your work and your positive encouragement to the other artists. Nothing lets someone know that they're work matters than commenting; EVERYONE appreciates comments.
Feel free to contact me about any issues, concerns, or just to chat at Lashia@renderosity.com

"Though I might travel afar, I will meet only what I carry with me, for every man is a mirror. We see only ourselves reflected in those around us. Their attitudes and actions are only a reflection of our own. The whole world and its condition has its counter parts within us all. Turn the gaze inward. Correct yourself and your world will change."

There is so much that makes this shot! I love the muted tones, the familiar literally turned on its head, and all of the nicely subtle details in this--steamed milk froth (isn't that just the coolest stuff?) the wood grain in the table, the almost liquid sheen of the light spilled across the wood grain, etc... It's one of those shots that I like quite a lot (and do so few of!) We've got reality here, but it's not the kind of reality we've all been tricked into accepting. I like that, because it's bold and it seems to declare: "Yeah? Well guess what? Upside down pictures are frakkin' cool!." I love the title and the way it fits and doesn't fit with this piece. It makes you think and search for the connections/free-associations that are there, and that's so much fun! I really like this shot immensely!
