Description

This view always pulls me in; it has a very compelling, hypnotic feel to it. I've recently discovered that almost every photographer whose fotos I've seen has some version of this same scene. And those fotos aren't much different from mine. Course this particular POV doesn't really change; it is what it is and we all see it.

If you watch the movie 'Lord of Dogtown', it's set at the old Pacific Ocean Park. It was in the days where the whole place was a pile of twisted rubble pretty much, which formed a spot called 'The Cove' which was private from the rest of the beach and very much protected by the locals. Anywayz, this part under the pier was called the boneyard and the young guys were sent under there to grab the boards before the smashed against the poles! Great shot. HERE!

This is a great shot. The pier has been rebuilt a number of times after the sea knocked it down. Now its reinforced steel and concrete. This POV reminds me of 'shooting the pier'.

Very interesting POV. Looks mesmerizing and would probably make me dizzy while trying to photograph it.

How could anyone resist that pov? I can't. You'll find one in my gallery, as well. :)

The light at the end of the tunnel. Curious, I don't recall posting any fotos that hypnotically affect the viewer. Mine are just simple, garden variety, snapshot kind of stuff. In any event, cool POV, general effects and repetition in this pic, M.
