Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

If you watch the movie 'Lord of Dogtown', it's set at the old Pacific Ocean Park. It was in the days where the whole place was a pile of twisted rubble pretty much, which formed a spot called 'The Cove' which was private from the rest of the beach and very much protected by the locals. Anywayz, this part under the pier was called the boneyard and the young guys were sent under there to grab the boards before the smashed against the poles! Great shot. HERE!

beautiful work my friend

This is a great shot. The pier has been rebuilt a number of times after the sea knocked it down. Now its reinforced steel and concrete. This POV reminds me of 'shooting the pier'.

How could anyone resist that pov? I can't. You'll find one in my gallery, as well. :)

The light at the end of the tunnel. Curious, I don't recall posting any fotos that hypnotically affect the viewer. Mine are just simple, garden variety, snapshot kind of stuff. In any event, cool POV, general effects and repetition in this pic, M.
