Description
Only warriors were considered full citizens in the Lambda Sphere, and only the best of these were granted the title Shield Bearer. And thus a seat at the King's council. At the height of the Lambda Sphere's influence they numbered only nine hundred, and lead an army of hundreds of thousands.
When the Kombine wished to expand into the sphere they resisted, and as war broke out the Spartaites where ground into the frozen dust of their homeworlds. Only a few remote colonies escaped by going dark.
But the price proved very high for the Kombine, setting it up for its subsequent collapse and absorbtion into the Coalition. And it continues to be as Spartaites sally forth from the lost colonies to wreck vengance for the civilization they once lost.
All products ued here in are bought and/or owned by me, except for a few brushes by PSconcepts that were just the little touch I need for the city in the bg.

Excellent concept. Love the small background story. Looking at him, it seems to me that the shield is a purely honourific item and not useable in actual combat - not while he's weilding that blade, anyway! Leonidas of the future, maybe?
