Description

In a small cubbyhole aboard the airship Griffin, the wireless operator taps a message on his Morse key: "Stewart to base; have made 1200 kilometers since Monday, although severe conditions have caused progress to slow. Trying to continue on Allenby's course, but difficult. At 19:30 hours, weather suddenly broke; we observed to the Northwest a formation, some 40 to 50 meters above ground. It appears to be man-made, with a circular structure and ruins beyond. We will attempt to land and send sled teams and possibly tractor to investigate. Don't know how long window of calm will last- taking photographs from air. Will advise- Captain Stewart, Griffin, 9/3/25" Vue 7 Pro Studio, Photoshop. Arches made in Studio Max. Two renders merged with alpha masks in PS. Rendered with custom settings, radiosity and global illumination. Snow layers created in PS. Inspired by Rush's "Test For Echo" album art. Just playing with a pile of rocks. Looks better in full size. Thanks for your views and comments.
