... another wonderful Rose (Stockrose) from my Parents Garden ,love this Color...it's the real color (no Postwork) !!!(please zoom in) Wish a nice and sunny Weekend @ all :) --------------------------- Die Stockrose (Alcea rosea, Syn.: Althaea rosea (L.) Cav., A. sinensis Cav.), auch Stockmalve, Pappelrose oder Garten-Stockrose genannt, ist eine Pflanzenart aus der Familie der MalvengewÃ¤chse (Malvaceae). Alcea rosea (Common Hollyhock; syn. Althaea chinensis Wall., Althaea ficifolia Cav., Althaea rosea Cav.) is an ornamental plant in the Malvaceae family. It was imported into Europe from China in the sixteenth century. William Turner, an herbalist of the time, gave it the name "holyoke" from which the English name derives. ----------------------------

What a shot! I love the selective coloring as well, it makes the rich, violet color stand out even more. It was a perfect choice to do this, especially with the violet/purple color. Great textures and shapes to. Yeah, this is most definitely a gorgeous shot!
